T.J. Rodgers T.J. Rodgers

Chairman of the Board

T.J. Rodgers is Chairman of SunPower's Board of Directors. Mr. Rodgers is founder, president, CEO, and a director of Cypress Semiconductor Corporation. He sits on the board of directors of high-technology companies, including SolarFlare Communications, Silicon Light Machines, Ion America, Silicon Magnetic Systems, Infinera, and Cypress MicroSystems. Rodgers was a Sloan scholar at Dartmouth College, where he graduated as Salutatorian with a double major in physics and chemistry. He attended Stanford University on a Hertz fellowship, earning a master's degree (1973) and a Ph.D. (1975) in electrical engineering.



W. Steve Albrecht

Director

W. Steve Albrecht is the associate dean of the Marriott School of Management and Andersen Alumni Professor at Brigham Young University (BYU). A certified public accountant (CPA), certified internal auditor (CIA) and certified fraud examiner (CFE), Albrecht, joined BYU in 1977 after teaching at Stanford University and the University of Illinois. Earlier he worked as a staff accountant for Deloitte & Touche. Prior to becoming associate dean of the Marriott School, Albrecht served for nine years as the director of the School of Accountancy and Information Systems at BYU. Albrecht currently serves as the U.S. representative to the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) Education Committee and as a trustee of the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF). He has published more than 100 articles in professional and academic journals, authored or co-authored more than 20 books or monographs, and received numerous awards and honors. Albrecht also serves on the board of directors of Red Hat, Inc., Sky West Inc., ICON Health and Fitness, and Cypress Semiconductor Corp.



Betsy S. Atkins

Director

Betsy S. Atkins has served as chief executive officer of Baja Ventures, an independent venture capital firm focused on the technology and life sciences industry, since 1994. She previously served as chairman and chief executive officer of NCI, Inc., a functional food/nutraceutical company from 1991 through 1993. Atkins was a co-founder of Ascend Communications in 1989, where she was also a member of the board of directors until its acquisition by Lucent Technologies in 1999. Ms. Atkins currently serves on the board of directors of Polycom, Inc., Reynolds American, Inc., and Chico's FAS, Inc., as well as a number of private companies. She served as a presidential appointee to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. board from 2001 to 2003 and is a faculty member of the National Association of Corporation Directors. She is a member of the British Telecom Advisory Board, the Nasdaq Nominating Committee and the Council on Foreign Relations.



Thomas H. Werner Thomas H. Werner

Chief Executive Officer, Director

Thomas H. Werner has served as our chief executive officer and as a member of our board of directors since June 2003. Prior to joining SunPower, from July 2001 to June 2003, Mr. Werner served as chief executive officer of Silicon Light Machines, Inc., an optical solutions subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor Corporation. From September 1998 to June 2001, Mr. Werner was vice president and general manager of the Business Connectivity Group of 3Com Corp., a network solutions company. Mr. Werner currently serves as a board member of Exar Corp., Three-Five Systems, Inc. and Silicon Light Machines. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University and a master's degree in business administration from George Washington University.



Pat Wood, III

Director

Pat Wood, III is the immediate past chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the independent regulator of the nation's interstate pipeline and wholesale electric power industries. During his four years at the FERC, he led the federal response to the 2000-2001 California energy crisis, the bankruptcy of Enron, the significant rise in fuel prices and the 2003 Northeastern power blackout. From 1995 to 2001, Wood chaired the Public Utility Commission of Texas, which led successful efforts to introduce retail customer choice and restructuring to the electric power and telecommunications industries. Wood has also been an attorney with the Baker & Botts law firm in Washington, D.C. and an associate project engineer with Arco Indonesia in Jakarta.
